RockTheWeb! is an online singing competition and a community for everyone who loves music. The RockTheWeb! platform is a stage for singers to showcase their talent to a local and global audience. Everyone gets a chance to shine!

The first season of RockTheWeb! starts in China and all Chinese nationals or foreigners residing in China (16 years or older) are welcomed to take part. All that is needed is access to a computer or mobile phone to open the door to a massive local and worldwide audience and to a singing career honed and perfected by China and Hollywood’s finest coaches, musicians and producers. To enter the competition you need to upload the video of your performance to www.rocktheweb.cn.

The future stars will be chosen by online voting and a panel of international judges. The contestants will get all the coaching, support and promotion they need to launch an international career. The winner will go on a trip to Hollywood to record a single with a top Hollywood music production team and will secure a record deal with RockTheWeb!

Through out the competition there will be exciting games and challenges not only for the competitors but also for all devoted fans. “The Biggest Fan” competition will give a chance to 3 of the most active supporters to accompany the winner on his/her trip to Hollywood.

RockTheWeb! community will spread throughout the world, using music to build bridges between cultures, and to help young people learn what it takes to make it in the business.

The Competition

First Round, Mass Selection

• Contestants register and upload their videos to the RTW! website. 

• Fans vote online.

• The top 100 contestants with the highest number of votes will move on to the next round.

Second Round, Primary Competition

• The top 100 contestants will be invited to continue the competition and upload new songs.

• A panel of international music professionals along with the audience will vote 50/50. 

• The 24 top scoring contestants will go onto the next round - RockTheWeb! Academy.

Third Round, RockTheWeb! Academy

• The chosen 24 will audition live in front of music professionals. 12 contestants will be chosen to train in the RockTheWeb! Academy with intensive coaching, including vocal classes, stage presence instructions, choreography, live performances and more.

• The Academy will be held in the entertainment capital of the world - Las Vegas and will be led by the internationally acclaimed vocal coach Seth Riggs, who has coached celebrities such as Michael Jackson and Ray Charles.

• Only eight contestants will graduate from the Academy and go on to the Semi-Final.

Fourth Round, Semi-Final

• The eight contestants will perform in front of a live audience. 

• Judges and audience vote 50/50 to determine the five finalists who will go onto the Grand Finale. 

Fifth Round, Grand Finale

• The five finalists will perform live one Chinese and one English song. 

• At the end of the Grand Finale the first RockTheWeb! star will be announced. 

Hollywood Week!

• The winner of the competition and the top 3“Biggest Fan” winners will travel to Los Angeles for an exciting week. They will visit Hollywood and major production facilities. 

• The Winner of RockTheWeb! Season 1 will record his/hers first single with a top Hollywood production team.
